twenty~three

night mazes
twisting turning
dark torment
grasping not
golden threads
hugging not
stone walls
childishly following
truthful light shepherd
believing everything
fearing nothing

  1. Very cool 23 words, Rene! Now, tell me, WHEN are you going to get published?! When I read this lovely poem, your countdown to spring was eight days and 23 hours! Must be something to that, don't you think?! Btw, we have to figure out a way to meet. Work gets in my way of doing all the things I'd like to, but maybe in the summer when you're off school… Until then, keep writing.

  2. Okay, this is all my fault I admit it. But people are thinking I am no longer reading them and so I don't want them to read ME and COMMENT, and I DO! I AM still reading you and I will start commenting again I promise!I got into a bad rhythm when I started having so much computer problems, I started not commenting thinking most my comments were probably lame and not wanted, but i see that was a mistake and want to rectify that NOW. I am going to get back to my Comment-Whoring ways…that is Kristina's phrase remember that, LOL, and so come back to me my friends, I NEVER left you, I just got way too comfy with Google Reader and read you there!! I LOVE my bloggy friends!!

  3. Ha! Layers of meaning here. Both 23 words and a few references to the 23rd Psalm. The Lord is my shepherd…though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil…

  4. Miss,Please pardon my intrusion. I only wish to tell you how much I enjoy your poetry. Actually it's very alluring and enchanting. I hope those two words are still viable and appropriate in today's world. Poetry has a way with me as no other literary form.Kindest Wishes
